Blog: The “Industry Lobby” Fallacy

In the ongoing culture war over the right to keep and bear arms, we often hear accusations of astroturfing and complaints over the pervasive power of lobbyists in Washington. Using insults and slander to deflect legitimate criticism, anti-gunners like to accuse activists on our side of being bought and paid for by the firearm industry itself. We often hear cries that the industry is inherently evil, placing profits over safety, and that anyone advocating for the Second Amendment must therefore be a heartless monster motivated by greed. In reality, nothing could be further from the truth.

Education and outreach has been a part of who Orange County Gun Owners is from the very beginning. Our diverse group of volunteers work to expand the shooting sport community and educate the public. For just $60/person, we can give you a safe, fun, safe, and educational first-time shooting experience.

Note – There is a Range Only Fee Option for $20* if you would like to join us & don’t need a mentor

*This ticket is for experienced shooters that only wish to join us on the range and do not require a mentor. The cost covers your range fee only. You will need to bring your own firearm and ammo(per the range’s website allowance). You can purchase ammo from the range separately as well.
